Today, I’m going to talk about kitten health. It’s already been a month since our first and last cat vet visit and it was time for them to get their booster shots. I took in Sandra, the pointed kitten. Our vet says she is a dilute tortie kitten who is turning prettier every day. She’ll make a stunning dilute tortoiseshell cat! Just like during her last visit, the sweet dilute tortie was scared out of her mind. She passed her physical exam with flying colors. The cat vet was pleased with her weight gain too. She weighed 3 pounds and 3 ounces at 69 days or 9 weeks. We already know she’s free of feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). She also got her second dosage of dewormer.

Once again, I found myself sneaking her back to her tentative and attentive nursing cat mom who licked her free of all the strange foreign odors picked up during the vet visit.

Oh she is such a cutie! And it looks like she was a very good girl at the vets – and is that second picture really part of the check or just a tummy scratch because she is so cute! She is a big girl – but that could always chance – and actully she isn’t huge or anything – but you can tell they are growing up, that is for sure!
