Teddy Smudge’s first visit to the kitten vet for her first exam and shots went well. The vet also told me that she is indeed a dilute calico kitten and a pointed kitten. How interesting. Makes one wonder about her interesting gene mixture. Pointed cats always fascinated me. In any case, kitten health is at the top of my list as far as kitten care is concerned, so I asked for “the works” again. Teddy was negative for both feline leukemia and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). She weighs 1 pound 12 ounces and she’s as healthy as can be. She’s the most unique looking of all the kittens but she’s rather average in her development. By now she’s eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom on her own, when she’s not sleeping, play fighting, or nursing.
Let me share some kitten pictures of Teddy’s first vet visit:
What a brave kitten! Teddy, like all her litter mates has a really nice disposition and is well socialized for her age. I’m so proud of the nursing cat as one by one her kittens check out with a clean bill of health.
The Crazy Cat Lady

AWWWW!! SO CUTE! Yes I did need to shout that. What a good girl she was, but boy you can tell she was not a happy camper in that last shot. Not that she looked super thrilled in the others, but the last one she is obviously ready for that exam to be over. And wow, what a combo – a dilute calico pointed kitten. And of course you are fully aware that if I were anywhere near you that the kitten I would most likely steal away is Teddy but of course they are all just adorable! But her color and markings just totally fascinate me!
Teddy is beautiful.
