Kitten development: As of last night, they are clearly playing with each other. They are sucking on their own toes and their siblings. They are climbing all over each other and they are using their legs trying to stand up. One thing that shocked me was the fact that one of the calico kittens, changed color! From a vivid calico it’s become a muted calico and the change started only last night. Today her colors look more muted than last night.
There’s been a development with the mama cat too, our queen, Farrah. She had bloody diarrhea this morning. I took a sample to the vet for examination but they already gave me deworming medication so I can start treatment before the final results are in. The truth is, I knew about the worms. Farrah was a feral pregnant cat after all. I just didn’t want to stress her out by taking her to the vet, and of course I did not want to take it upon myself to give her antiworming medication while she was pregnant. The time has come though, and I do have the most fabulous vet in the world. She agreed to do Farrah’s fecal exam and medicate her without seeing her, since Farrah is quite aggressive and vulnerable.
On to kitten pictures, including our “new” muted calico girl
Three newborn kittens playing
What are the calico kittens doing.
Reminder of the calico kitten names:
The vivid colored one is Puddles and the muted calico is called Pebbles
Hard to discern in this photo, the top kitten is the muted calico
The muted calico is on top again, but you will start seeing the color difference in the near future.
Off to the vet’s to hand Farrah’s stool sample. Meanwhile, I’m building an outdoor cat room for all to enjoy.

The tuxedo kitten looks so curious. I bet he’s mischievous, isn’t he? He’s so handsome!
